Course Description:
This course is in two (2) parts
Part 1 covers the basics and introduction while Part 2 is the practical aspect. This is where you can follow the design processes step by step.
The parts are listed in detail below.
PART 1
Before you begin the design process you must first Identify the basics
– Logo: Logos must be kept simple. The simpler, the better. A logo could be a sign, a letter or letters, a word, or a combination of all.
If you have words in your logo you should be using a font that resonates with your brand
– Brand references: You must have and look into (at least) three brands which you can draw inspiration from for your designs.
– Brand colours: From your ‘brand referencing’ research, take screenshots of the colours or colour combinations you like and drag/upload them into Canva.
Canva is already programmed to suggest the colours to you when designing – for easy access.
– Font style: Font consistency is key here. You only need one or two similar fonts in your designs. In very very very very rare cases is where you find three fonts in designs.
– Brand texture: You know what you want people to feel when they look at your business pages online. Maybe you want a warm feel, or a dark but warm feel, or a bright feel etc.
